My Journey: From Heartbreak to Empowerment

 I married my childhood sweetheart, Francisco, at a young age, ready to embrace our "happily ever after." But life had other plans. When Francisco unexpectedly passed away, my world was shattered. Overnight, I found myself navigating a devastating culture shock, transforming from a devoted wife and mother to a single mom of three, faced with the daunting task of rebuilding our lives.

In that moment of crisis, I had two choices: "Do" or "Die." And for someone like me, giving up was never an option.

So, I chose to Do.

Exactly one year after Francisco’s passing, I packed up my children, left behind everything we’d known in New York, and headed to sunny Florida to begin a new chapter. I knew the road ahead wouldn’t be easy—and it wasn’t.

Coming from a family of entrepreneurs, I ventured into the unfamiliar territory of the corporate world, determined to find a secure and stable career that could support my family. My priority was clear: to provide my children with a roof over their heads, food in their bellies, and as much of my time and love as possible to help them adjust to our new normal.

Dreams of higher education took a backseat; my children came first.

Without a formal degree, I worked tirelessly, rising to senior-level leadership and management roles in four organizations, both domestically and internationally. It wasn’t easy, but I was fueled by the unwavering belief that hard work and perseverance would pay off—and they did.

Fast forward 28 years, and that belief has shaped my journey. Along the way, I learned a vital truth: life’s toughest blows can make us stronger if we choose to rise above them.

When my children were older and our lives more stable, I returned to school to earn my Master’s degree and industry certifications. My passion for learning, teaching, training, and coaching blossomed, and along with it, my deep passion for HR and helping individuals and organizations create people-focused strategies that foster success. 

Today, as CEO of InspiringYOU!, I find incredible joy in empowering others to achieve their goals, unlock their potential, and create environments where people and businesses thrive.

Every day, I draw on my entrepreneurial roots and life experiences to help others grow personally and professionally. My story is a testament to resilience, determination, and the power of never giving up.
